
"Promoting Applied Research for the Needs of SMEs" was the central theme of the Roadshow promoted by the Portuguese Industrial Association (AIP), in partnership with NERC - Coimbra Region Business Association; and in collaboration with Uninova and Fnway.
Data CoLAB attended the event, on January 31 at Novotecna's headquarters, and brought together researchers from Universidade NOVA de Lisboa and companies, aiming to surveying the needs of organizations in the field of Research and Development, particularly in the areas of energy, robotics and others.
Research and Technological Development (R&D), National Programs and Horizon Europe and the R&D Projects developed at the Faculty of Science and Technology of Universidade NOVA de Lisboa (FCT-UNL) were all subject of discussion.
The initiative also aimed to highlight significant advances in Economy 4.0 (such as the interoperability of systems or energy efficiency, etc.). At the same time, it also aimed to encourage Research and Development (R&D) with a view to shaping a more advanced and sustainable technological future.
The session was conducted by Horácio Pina Prata, President of the Coimbra Region Business Association, and José Eduardo Carvalho, President of AIP; and included speeches by Mira Amaral, from FNWAY, and Ricardo Jardim Gonçalves, Full Professor at FCT-UNL.
